Africa Improved Foods Rwanda Ltd is a manufacturer of highly
nutritious quality fortified foods. Our nutrition products are intended
to address malnutrition among vulnerable population segments such as
pregnant and breast-feeding mothers, older infants and young children
especially in the first 1,000 days of their life. To this end, we plan
to avail on a commercial scale nutritional products for lifestyle
consumer groups in Rwanda and the whole East African Region.
In as much as we are a commercial, for profit organization, we also strive to have the maximum social, economic and environmental impact possible on the communities in which we operate.
Our model is to source raw materials from local small-holder farmers, employ, develop and deploy local talent in the creation and growth of our fortified foods business. We work with various partners and stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Job title: Raw Material Offloading Operator

Purpose of the job
The jobholder plays a key role in related procedures to warehousing functions, plans the supply for all raw materials and monitors all raw material, chemicals, ingredients and packaging inventories through proper procedures of offloading and reception to contribute towards achievement of production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily physical operations in raw materials in offloading suppliers’ trucks at the offloading bay on time with clear check of documents.
Drive the forklift and carry goods into warehouse
Participate in monthly stock take exercise and report
Work closely with the Inventory operator in store keeping to have items arranged for FEFO methods
Use logistical machines to offload the goods and arrange them in an orderly manner.
Observe and respect all traffic rules, & warning signs
Implement quality and safety health and environment in line with company policy
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge and educational level
Minimum Senior 6 level in mathematics, management or any related discipline.
Required level of experiences
3 years’ experience in Demand and Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, Logistics or Warehouse Management
Good command of SAP ERP system will be an added advantage
Excel reporting skills
Ability to drive/operate forklift machines (Rwandan Driving license class F)

Vendor management and strong negotiating skills
High attention to detail and analytical skills
Open and flexible operating style with high transparency
Independent mind-set
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Resourceful, hands on, self-driven, self-starter, proactive and independent worker, ability to work with a minimum of supervision
Strong interpersonal, supervisory skills required
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
